Common problems and solutions
How to recover my password?
If you forgot your password or your password isn’t being recognized, you’ll need to reset it using the main email address on your account.
You can reset your password on the Forgotten Password page. Enter the email address you used to sign up for Vimeo, and wait up to two minutes for the password reset email to be delivered. Clicking the link in that email will allow you to choose a new password on your account.
I’m not receiving the password reset email, or it’s not working. What do I do?
If you’re not seeing the password reset email after two minutes, be sure to check your spam folder.
Keep in mind, each time you request a password reset, we cancel all existing password reset links. Therefore, make sure you only click on the last email you receive.
I no longer have access to the email associated with my Vimeo account.
If you no longer have access to the email address you used to create the account, you’ll need to fill out a form and contact Vimeo.
I don’t remember the email address used on my Vimeo account.
If you don’t know what email address is associated with your Vimeo account, fill out a form to reach out to the Support team, and they’ll help you track it down as soon as possible.
On the second page of the form, click the ‘Reset Password isn’t working’ link in order to reach the contact form. Make sure you provide as much information as possible in order to prove that you are the true owner of the account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription or free trial:
- Go to your “Billing Settings” page
- Select “Cancel subscription”
- “Confirm” and save your settings

If you are subscribed through Google Play, you can learn how to cancel your subscription through Google Play’s support.

Can I cancel my account at any time?
You can cancel your subscription without a charge at any time before the renewal date for your subscription.
How do I receive a refund for my purchase?
If you are unhappy with your paid membership, please contact Vimeo to request a refund.
- Yearly subscription purchases are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase
- Monthly subscription purchases are eligible for a refund within 5 days of purchase
Unfortunately, any members requesting a refund beyond the specified period will not be refunded.
Please note that this refund policy only applies to self-serve memberships (Premium and lower). If you are on an Enterprise account, please review the Enterprise terms and contact your account manager with any payment-related questions.
Can I receive a partial refund for my purchase?
Vimeo is unable to facilitate partial refunding of accounts in order to accommodate refund requests outside of the eligibility time frame.
